Nice article, it’s provide good information to recover exchange server, I found a proficient utility ( http://www.exchangeserverrecovery.com/ ) which easily recover failed exchange server and restore corrupted edb files to new or existing outlook pst files format without any problem. It allows to search required emails in edb, pst or live Exchange and export them to live exchange mailboxes, eml, pst, msg, rtf, html or txt files.

Thanks for step by step and detail explanation of working with Exchange server recovery storage group. Sometimes, Exchange server get crashed or failed due to some unknown reasons and it become impossible to access data even from recovery storage group. In these situations only a third party Exchange database repair application may help you.
